Our Mission

Build clean energy resilience in underserved communities – both locally and abroad
through equitable workforce development and access to zero-emission electricity

IMPACT AREAS

  • BUILDING A DIVERSE WORKFORCE

The transition to a more sustainable economy is creating good jobs in solar, EV charging, battery storage, business operations, and the electrical trade in general. Yet people of color and women remain underrepresented in the clean energy sector. Sphere One provides career exploration and job training programs focused on increasing the diversity of the clean energy workforce.

  • EQUITABLE ACCESS TO CLEAN ENERGY

Everyone deserves access to the health and economic benefits of our clean energy future. Recognizing that under-resourced regions can be especially vulnerable to the extreme weather, air pollution and negative effects of climate change, Sphere One partners directly with traditionally underserved communities to adopt solar and experience the benefits of a clean, renewable source of electricity.

  • KENYA AND ABROAD

Sphere One has brought energy resilience to marginalized communities in Kenya, Puerto Rico and other places where the grid is unreliable or nonexistent.
