Herb Williams

Herb Williams joined Sphere after graduating from the PACT construction preapprenticeship program where he obtained certifications in Forklift Operation, OSHA 10, and Road Flagging. While at Sphere he trained on commercial projects and enjoyed the chance to travel and visit another part of WA state. He was also introduced to some of the tools he uses at his current position as an installation technician at Puget Sound Solar. His focus there is residential solar and he spends a lot of time working on roofs and is comfortable with heights. His installation team includes an electrician and Herb has learned a lot about electrical work such as installing grounding wire. Working at Puget Sound Solar has also enabled Herb to build on skills he gained from his previous jobs at Chipotle and Top Golf, and he emphasizes the importance of clear communication, active listening, and accuracy. His experiences have solidified his commitment to becoming an electrician. In his spare time Herb enjoys spending time with his dog Pharaoh who tends to bark at people until they pet him and then he’s their best friend. He also likes to keep in shape by going to the gym and playing basketball.
