Pablo’s interest in an electrical career stems from his experience connecting wires on the Lindbergh HS robotics team. Later, while working at a restaurant Pablo spoke with many construction professionals and decided to pursue a career in the skilled trades. Pablo also has a strong interest in sustainability and after completing his training at the PACT Construction Preapprenticeship, went on to intern with Sphere. He dove into solar power, volts, watts and other electrical concepts - and was soon sharing his knowledge at presentations to high school students and the public. His talents shone and when a position opened at Sphere, Pablo was hired as a solar installation technician in conjunction with King County Jumpstart. He also joined IBEW 46, the local electrical union, and appreciates the support of the electricians on his team who have been great mentors and teachers. He has worked on over a dozen commercial projects and in 2024 was given an award for his excellent work by WA state Governor Inslee. Pablo continues to pursue his goal of becoming an electrician, a career where he can use both his mind and his hands to wire up safe, comfortable spaces for people.
